Pet Policy – Dog-Friendly Stays at THE HOUSE

All THE HOUSE properties are dog-friendly.
We warmly welcome you to spend precious time with your beloved family members, including your dogs.

At THE HOUSE Chigasaki and MAISON D:E VACANCES Hayama, certain areas are restricted for pets, but at all other properties, dogs are generally allowed in all areas.

However, there are specific conditions for bringing pets, so please read and follow the guidelines below.

1. Pet Fees

• ¥6,600 per dog per night (tax included) for small dogs.

• ¥7,700 per dog per night (tax included) for certain medium and large breeds.

• Some facilities only accept small dogs – please check before booking.

Facilities accepting medium and large dogs:

• THE HOUSE on the beach

• THE HOUSE Moriso

• THE HOUSE Koajiro (Pool and Cave and Shower Living Suite only)

• MAISON D:E VACANCES Hayama

For long-haired dogs, we kindly request that you use a lint roller before departure.

Payment can be made in cash or by credit card on-site.
We provide a toilet pad, food bowl, and water bowl.

2. Health & Hygiene Requirements

• Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Proof is not required but strongly expected.

• Dogs in heat or dogs prone to accidents must wear diapers. Please bring your own.

• If an accident occurs during check-in or in the facility, we may request diaper use immediately.

• Carpets can easily absorb odors – please take extra care.

3. Restrictions & House Rules

• Sofas and beds are strictly off-limits to pets, due to hygiene and to avoid shedding and odors.

• If significant fur is found on furniture after check-out, additional cleaning fees will apply.

• If a rug is soiled, extra cleaning fees may be charged. In some cases, rugs may be removed prior to your stay.

• Please note that all cleaning must be completed in time for the next day’s guests.

4. Other Pets (Cats, Birds, Rabbits, etc.)

We have received inquiries about other pets such as cats, parrots, and rabbits.
Due to hygiene concerns (climbing on furniture/appliances), such pets must remain in a cage while indoors.
We can provide dog toilet pads only – if these conditions are acceptable, you are welcome to bring them.
Pet fees are the same as for dogs.
