Use of THE HOUSE Facilities as a Shooting Location

All THE HOUSE properties are available for rent as shooting studios for still photography and video production.

— Shooting Studio Rates —

Important:
Photography or filming conducted during a regular accommodation stay is only permitted as commemorative photography for personal travel purposes.

Any other commercial use (including promotion of personal businesses) will be considered as use of the property as a shooting studio, and must be booked separately under the following rates:

THE HOUSE, THE HOUSE on the beach, THE HOUSE Chigasaki, THE HOUSE Moriso

  • Still photography: ¥20,000/hour (tax excluded) – minimum 5 hours

  • Video: ¥25,000/hour (tax excluded) – minimum 5 hours

THE HOUSE Koajiro

  • Pool and Cave:
     Still photography: ¥40,000/hour (tax excluded) – minimum 5 hours
     Video: ¥45,000/hour (tax excluded) – minimum 5 hours

  • Shower Living Suite:
     Still photography: ¥20,000/hour (tax excluded) – minimum 5 hours
     Video: ¥25,000/hour (tax excluded) – minimum 5 hours

  • Bed and Bath:
     Still photography: ¥15,000/hour (tax excluded) – minimum 5 hours
     Video: ¥20,000/hour (tax excluded) – minimum 5 hours

THE HOUSE FARM

  • Exclusive use: Weekdays ¥250,000 (tax excluded) / Weekends & holidays ¥350,000 (tax excluded)

  • Filming during business hours (partial use of BBQ garden): ¥30,000/hour (tax excluded), no minimum hours

Location Scouting (Pre-shoot Visit)

  • Location scouting fee: ¥5,000 for up to 1 hour (payable on the day)

  • Scouting is conducted during the cleaning time between check-out and check-in.

  • For long scouting sessions, the minimum accommodation rate for that day will be charged.

Tentative Bookings

Due to the nature of our properties as accommodation facilities, we do not accept tentative holds within one month of the intended date.
Bookings must be confirmed.

Overtime Charges

An additional one-hour fee will be charged if shooting exceeds the reserved time by more than 5 minutes.

Weather Conditions

We do not allow rescheduling due to weather, except in the case of typhoon warnings or similar severe conditions.

Cancellation Policy

No refunds will be made due to weather, except in the following cases where full refunds apply:

  • Typhoon-level weather warnings issued

  • Major transportation disruptions preventing arrival

Fees:

  • 30 to 11 days before use: 10% of total fee

  • 10 to 4 days before use: 50% of total fee

  • 3 days before or later (including same day): 100% of total fee

Notes & Conditions

  • Standard shooting hours are 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., though they may vary by property.

  • Early morning shoots require blocking the night before, with additional charges.

  • Complete withdrawal by 8:00 p.m. is required (exceptions for noise-free shoots may be possible).

  • A project proposal or shooting plan must be submitted in advance.

  • Large-scale equipment or high-noise shoots must be discussed in advance; we may decline certain projects.

  • Food waste may be left, but all props and decorations must be removed.

  • On-site catering/lunch boxes can be arranged.

  • Interior items may be used but must be replaced if damaged or lost; in the case of furniture damage preventing business operations, we will also charge for lost business days.

  • If issues arise (e.g., portrait rights), we may require you to cease use of the footage/images. In such cases, no refunds will be issued.
